Back from a great holiday

Hope you had a great holiday weekend! Since it is now officially the holiday season I have lowered the prices of my holiday cards.

All my bags are packed

In a few hours I'll be on my way to DC for Thanksgiving. I hope y'all have a very happy turkey day!

I'm shocked I haven't heard of this site sooner. It's beautiful. Found via Mint.

Happy Weekend

Apologies for the lack of posting this week. I'm up in the mountains for a long weekend. Hope you all have a nice weekend!

A Few More Items

I just realized that Thanksgiving is next week! I really thought it was about two weeks away. Looks like I need to start getting my butt in gear with Christmas gifts. Here are some new items I've added to my shop to help make your gifts a little more festive.

My Weekend

On Sunday, Brett and I were tourists for a day and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and then worked our way to the Dumbo Flea. I also started a couple new projects which you can see in the last photo. To finish off a great weekend we bought and watched my new favorite movie UP. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Oh Deer!

How cute are these Oh Deer sculptures from Art Mind? They would look great lined up on a mantle. I know it's early but I'm already getting in the holiday spirit!

Bailey Doesn't Bark

I love these new holiday cards by Bailey Doesn't Bark.

Studio Kmo

How insane are these cut out over sized city maps by Studio Kmo? It's really impressive that someone has the patience to sit down and cut out every street and intersection in NYC! Found via paper n stitch.

My boyfriend and his best friend just opened a new print shop called ElectricCo that sells all screen printed posters. Here are some of the prints they have in their shop now. So proud!

More Holiday Items in My Shop

There are now more holiday cards and gift tags in my shop.

After buying this top a few months ago I've become a big fan of Lamixx. Lamixx is offering free shipping to bklynstitch readers for the next 24 hours. Just type in code: bklynstitch at checkout!

ring, illustration, earrings, bag,

It's pretty darn cold out today. Makes me want to layer up in these outfits from Madewell.

Pumpkin Bread

Last night I made my Moms famous pumpkin bread. I had quite the sweet tooth so I added a little bit of Haagen Daaz Vanilla Ice cream on top. So good.
Here's the recipe:
3 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs lightly beaten
16oz. pumpkin
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tspn salt
2 tspn baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
2/3 cup of water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour 2 9x5 loaf pans. Stir sugar, oil, eggs and pumpkin together in a large bowl. Combine all dry ingredients in separate large bowl. Combine both bowls and add water. Divide into 2 pans. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until done. Let stand for 10 minutes and remove from pan.

New Items Are Now Up in My Shop

New cards and hangtags are now up in my shop.

My Weekend

New York had a lot going on this weekend. Halloween, the Yankees and the NYC Marathon. Since the runners pass two blocks away from my Brooklyn apartment, I was able to watch and cheer them on. It's always really inspiring and makes me want to run another marathon. Hmmm. Hope your weekend was nice!
