A Few More Items
I just realized that Thanksgiving is next week! I really thought it was about two weeks away. Looks like I need to start getting my butt in gear with Christmas gifts. Here are some new items I've added to my shop to help make your gifts a little more festive.

My Weekend
On Sunday, Brett and I were tourists for a day and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and then worked our way to the Dumbo Flea. I also started a couple new projects which you can see in the last photo. To finish off a great weekend we bought and watched my new favorite movie UP. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Studio Kmo
How insane are these cut out over sized city maps by Studio Kmo? It's really impressive that someone has the patience to sit down and cut out every street and intersection in NYC! Found via paper n stitch.

Pumpkin Bread
Last night I made my Moms famous pumpkin bread. I had quite the sweet tooth so I added a little bit of Haagen Daaz Vanilla Ice cream on top. So good.
Here's the recipe:
3 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs lightly beaten
16oz. pumpkin
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tspn salt
2 tspn baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
2/3 cup of water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour 2 9x5 loaf pans. Stir sugar, oil, eggs and pumpkin together in a large bowl. Combine all dry ingredients in separate large bowl. Combine both bowls and add water. Divide into 2 pans. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until done. Let stand for 10 minutes and remove from pan.

My Weekend
New York had a lot going on this weekend. Halloween, the Yankees and the NYC Marathon. Since the runners pass two blocks away from my Brooklyn apartment, I was able to watch and cheer them on. It's always really inspiring and makes me want to run another marathon. Hmmm. Hope your weekend was nice!
