Snowed In
It's been snowing for the past two days here and they say we've gotten about 20+ inches. Oh Spring where are you? Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I'm still sick but will hopefully be back to normal after the weekend. Hope you have a great weekend!

Under the Weather
So that cold I mentioned in the last post has definitely gotten worse. Yesterday I stayed home from work (which is rare for me). Today is definitely worse but I decided I should drag myself to work anyways. I don't know if it's just me but when I'm home sick I always end up feeling guilty and feel like I should be doing something productive. After the first half hour of lying on the couch I felt too bored and decided to do my taxes, print an etsy job I've been working on and make a necklace (pictures to come). I wish I could be normal and accept that when I'm sick I need to just lay and do nothing.
On a happier note Brett is on his way to L.A. right now for a photoshoot for work. I'm going to try to live vicariously through him while he walks around Santa Monica wearing tee shirts and flip flops. Have a fun trip babe!

My Weekend
It was a pretty cold weekend at the cabin. Nothing too exciting happened and unfortunately I think all that playing around in the snow is leaving me with a little cold. Hope you had a lovely weekend! P.s. Don't you just love Brett's outfit :)

Happy Friday!
This week just flew by! Brett and I are going up to the cabin after work for a nice relaxing weekend. Seeing that I am now addicted to the Olympics (go USA!) I'll probably be watching as much of it as possible. What are you up to this weekend?

Custom Nameplate Necklace
When I was little my sisters and I all had our own name necklaces. Here is an new updated version of what we had. Each nameplate is individually hand calligraphied and hand cut with a jeweler's saw. I'm glad Kelly from Design Crush found this because my old necklace hasn't fit me since I was about 5.
Alexa Chung for Madewell
I probably post too much about Madewell but this was too good not to. Alexa Chung has teamed up with Madewell and will be coming out with a collection for Fall 2010. It's time to seriously start saving. Found via dores. Photos from here.

My Weekend
Three day weekends are the best. My weekend consisted of a delicious Valentines brunch at Buttermilk Channel in Carroll Gardens, a show at Blue Note, and some homemade cheesecake. How was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
Happy Friday everyone! Between really late nights at work and all this snow it's been a rough week and I couldn't be happier that it's a three day weekend. What are your plans? I have some small projects planned, Brett and I have tickets to a jazz show on Saturday, my band has a show on Sunday and then of course I'll be celebrating Valentine's Day with my one and only. Have a great weekend and Happy Valentine's Day! Print by ashleyg

BBW: New Book
I'm looking forward to seeing Built By Wendys new book. I have her other two books and they're pretty easy to follow. Hopefully this will inspire me to get moving on some sewing projects I've had in mind.

My Weekend
There aren't that many good photos to show for my weekend. Besides doing work I walked around the old neighborhood, made some really tasty onion and cheddar biscuits, homemade chili, watched Inglourious Basterds and listened to the new Midlake album. The last photo is a print I made for a custom order for Valentines Day. How was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
Yay just a few more hours until the weekend! What are you up to for the next couple of days? I'll be working on some wedding invitations (stay tuned), branding for my shop and hopefully making lots of food for the game on Sunday. I'm not much of a football fan but any excuse to eat a lot of food sounds good to me. Have a happy weekend!

J is for Jack
I recently designed these two simple prints for a custom order. The client wanted something to hang in her son Jacks room. They also came with matching notecards.
First Aid Kit
Today's one of those days that I wish I were anywhere other than the city. I blame it on my morning commute. It's hard riding the subway when you have nothing to hold on to and end up having to subway surf and also have someones briefcase cramming up your bum the whole time. And that was for a whole 40 minutes. I guess that's the price I pay for living in Brooklyn and working in Manhattan. Listening to First Aid Kits new album is making me less cranky though. They're awesome.

Rifle Paper
After seeing that Rifle Paper Co. is hiring. I headed over to their site and checked out their portfolio. Their work is gorgeous and I know they've been all over the blogsophere lately but I just had to put up a few of my favorite pieces. Now if only I loved in Florida....
