See You In Three Weeks!

Well the time has come...in 8 days I'm getting married!! So from now 'til then I have a lot of things that I need to take care of and I think it's important to soak in as much of this next week as possible and for that reason I'm saying so long! I'll be back up and blogging in full force once we're back from our honeymoon. Til then sweet friends!

Hudson, New York

Hudson, New York is an interesting place. I, for one, am a fan. It's a really cute, old town that has been revamped and restored to the way it was back when it was a thriving town in the 40's and 50's. It's a town full of cute shops (lots of antiquing), bars and great restaurants. We're big fans of the architecture. Isn't that house beautiful?

The barn we rented for our wedding is actually located right outside of Hudson. So when I saw this post by From Me To You, I was excited. In less than a week, Brett and I will be heading up to Hudson to start decorating and and begin all the wedding festivities.

Here is a short list of places we like in Hudson: (naturally they are mostly places revolving food)
2. Verdigris Tea Shop - they have the best scones I've ever tasted!
5. Swoon Kitchenbar

My (Hipstamatic) Weekend

Brooklyn City Hall for our marriage license, Jones Beach, some DIY action and homemade enchiladas. How was your weekend?

Almost There

Clearly I have been neglecting my blog all week. That's due to the fact that I am pretty preoccupied with last minute wedding details and trying to wrap up our plans for our honeymoon. Right now, I kind of feel like a little kid waiting for the first day of school (times a million.) I'm ready for everything to start happening!

To say I'm an anxious person is sort of an understatement but this past month, I've felt surprisingly calm. I really thought that I would be one of those people that couldn't sleep a wink weeks before my wedding but luckily this isn't the case! (Except for waking up at 3am the other night with a table number design idea. Hah, opps.!) Thankfully I'm off for the rest of the weekend and am going to try my best and take some weekend photos for you. So I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for reading!

P.s. Isn't this a perfect outfit for Greece? Image

Happy Friday!

So working 60+ hours this week was not in the plan but it's ok because it's Friday. It's time to go to the beach and sip some cocktails. We have 22 days left til the wedding and I've got the butterflies! Have a great weekend!

My Weekend

There was a wedding on Saturday and my bridal shower on Sunday. It was busy busy busy but it was one of the greatest weekends I've ever had. A huge thank you to all my family and friends for making my shower so special! Only 25 days to go folks!

An Early Weekend

It's a short week again for me. I'm so excited because in a few hours I get to see my Mom and little sis! They are coming up for the weekend for a bunch of reasons. Tomorrow is my second (and hopefully last) dress fitting, then on Saturday we get to meet up with the rest of my sisters and attend an old family friends wedding. Then on Sunday, my sisters are throwing me a bridal shower! I'm very much looking forward to this family filled weekend. It's just what I need. Hope yours is lovely!

Our Wedding Invitations

With only a month to go, I think it's a good time to share our wedding invitations that we designed. Overall, wedding planning really hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be but the invitations were definitely one of the harder parts. Being a designer and designing your own invites can be pretty stressful as you want them to be absolutely perfect. We were pretty happy when we got them back from the printer and we were even happier once they were out the door.

The invitations were letterpress printed on 130# Strathmore paper by Paper Boutique.

Aria

Normally I would say that I'm not a cruise person but I have to say this little cruise is now at the top of my vacation list. Cruising around the Peruvian jungle and ending up in Machu Picchu sounds pretty alright to me.

My Weekend

The pictures from this weekend are pretty boring - sorry about that! We had a full beach day on Saturday and Sunday was all about preparing for this week. I made a lot of summer salads and used this and this recipe. I highly recommend both. Stay tuned for photos of our wedding invitations! Hope you had a lovely weekend. Can you believe it's August?!?
