Yes, it's Friday! This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year every year. I know it sounds weird but after Labor Day, the city feels different. There's definitely been a chill in the air this week and a sense that Fall's coming our way. Fashion Week is here. It's coming down to the finals in the U.S. Open (Go Clijsters!) and it's one of our best friends birthday on Sunday. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm off to find some Fall duds and bake my first pie!

YES, September is here! Fall is just around the corner and I couldn't be happier about that. To me Fall means boots, tights, apple cider and pumpkin spice. Yum! Happy September everyone!

Dear Creatures

Ou Fall's only a little over a month away. Can't wait! It's without a doubt my favorite season. New Fall collection from Dear Creatures.

Pumpkin Bread

Last night I made my Moms famous pumpkin bread. I had quite the sweet tooth so I added a little bit of Haagen Daaz Vanilla Ice cream on top. So good.

Here's the recipe:

3 cups sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

4 eggs lightly beaten

16oz. pumpkin

3 1/2 cups flour

2 tspn salt

2 tspn baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon

1/2 tsp cloves

2/3 cup of water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour 2 9x5 loaf pans. Stir sugar, oil, eggs and pumpkin together in a large bowl. Combine all dry ingredients in separate large bowl. Combine both bowls and add water. Divide into 2 pans. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until done. Let stand for 10 minutes and remove from pan.

Fall is My Favorite and Happy Friday!

If I were ever to leave New York I would have a hard time leaving the fall foliage upstate. Fall is my favorite time of year. I mean how can you not like it - pumpkins, hot apple cider, plaid! Here are some photos I took exactly a year ago up in the Catskills. So have a happy Fall-filled weekend!
