Honeymoon: Athens

Ready to hear about our honeymoon? For the rest of the week I plan on sharing our photos from each of the places we visited. I hope you enjoy!

We left for our honeymoon the Monday after our wedding. By then we both felt completely exhausted and all we wanted to do was sleep. Luckily all our flights were on time and we were somehow upgraded to first class on both of our flights to Athens. The honeymoon was off to a great start.

When we first arrived to Athens, we headed straight to the Plaka which was full of fun shops and cafes. This was my favorite part of Athens.

See those bowls? Yea, I was obsessed with them. I wanted to buy all of them. They were a little pricey but we ended up getting 3.

Our first Greek meal: Greek salad and Lamb Souvlaki (This is where our obsession for tzatziki began.)

Then we headed to the Acropolis which was amazing to see after we'd learned so much about it in art history back in college.

It was an exhausting day especially after flying all night so we headed back to our hotel from some drinks by the pool. This was the view from our room. Brett and I both agree that Athens is prettier at night.

See you tomorrow with our pictures from Crete!
